Melita Honey offers its landowner partners 60 years of trusted, proven experience. Our partnerships are characterised by professional service, outstanding communication, transparent reporting, and fair pricing. Currently we have around 300 land sites across the North Island, secured by long term land access agreements, personal relationships and the odd handshake. We have perfected the extraction process and pride ourselves on our high levels of service, communication and quality. Our state-of-the-art processing facilities can process your honey to meet any country specific requirements. In our large capacity and temperature controlled warehouse, we can store and age bulk Manuka Honey to safely grow the MGO (one of the major antibacterial components of Manuka honey) and we can also store and distribute packed honey goods for our clients.
Melita Honey specialises in contract packing for other brands, and have more than 20 years of packing experience. Our brand new purpose built packing facility in Hastings has two state of the art packing lines, and the capacity to process more than 33 tonnes of honey per week.

Melita Honey offers one of the industry’s most comprehensive ranges of honey varietals, bee wellbeing and skincare products. All of our products have been carefully developed using only premium New Zealand ingredients, straight from the hive. We pack many brands including our own. As well as selling domestically, we export to over 60 international markets.
We are committed to the principles of sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint over time. Naturally, protecting bees and their environment is a key focus, and we ensure that our well trained beekeepers make good decisions to produce healthy, natural hives. We continue to plant out more trees each year with over 100,000 planted to date.
